Devens
Recycling Center Gets MSW Permit
On July 8, 2009, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental
Protection granted us a permit modification to our existing operating
license. DRC now accepts MSW (Municipal Solid Waste). The modification
allows our facility to receive 500 tons of MSW and 1000 tons of
C&D (Construction and Demolition) material daily. This is great
news for you, our customers!
For those of you who presently haul both waste streams, you no longer
need to be concerned with routing different materials to different
locations. We can handle it all!
|
|
|
 |
|
This simple convenience can save you big dollars on payroll,
wear and tear on your hauling fleet, not to mention diesel.
Let
Us Consolidate Your Loads
Stop trucking MSW farther than you need to. Bringing the material
to DRC will allow you to bid municipal contracts more competitively
while not having to reduce your margins. There are many advantages
our new permit can provide you.
You
are already familiar with our facility. And if not, let us highlight
just a few points that make us stand out from our competitors:
-
Ease of entry
- Your
drivers do not wait in lines
- Our
large concrete pad turnaround area is swept daily (You won't be
getting flat tires here at Devens)
- Our
six 50' bay tipping doors give you plenty of space to tip your
load and get back on the road in record time
- Our
friendly, efficient scale house handles all your driver's needs
and provides them with accurate reporting for all the material
we are entrusted with
- Our
facility was designed with the LEED projects in mind. Construction
material flow is tracked from the moment it enters the facility.
Customers can access this reporting on their time schedule 24/7
through the customer portal on our website.

Industry Trends
We're
A Leader In What's Going On Today! |

Knowledge
Is Power!
Stay
informed on what is going on today in the C&D Recycling Industry
will help you be more competitive in today's tough economy.
Recycling C&D Materials is both economical and environmental, but
you also need to stay informed in order to remain competitive and
fully compliant with all regulations! The CMRA estimates that total
C&D Debris generated in the US this year will total 350 Million
Tons! By comparison, the most recent estimates of Municipal Solid
Waste (MSW) generated in the US in 2006 were 251 Million Tons.
|
|
|
 |
|
You
already know that reuse, recycling, and C&D waste reduction creates
jobs, contributes revenue, develops communities and businesses,
but did you also know that unlike MSW or Hazardous Waste, C&D Debris
is not defined or regulated at the Federal level under the Resource
Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)? With no minimum Federal requirements
or enforcements, C&D Debris Management falls to each individual
State, which can vary from State to State.
Devens
Recycling Center is committed to staying informed of all EPA, State
DEP, and C&D Recycling Industry changes that affect us all! Learn
more about what's happening in our Industry by visiting our Learn
About Recycling section today!
